I need to study my packet more and make sure I know how to use it. I need to remember that predicates go after action verbs.I need to remember that subordinating conjunctions introduce subordinate clauses. I need to remember that verb phrases contain a verb and a direct or indirect object, but not a subject. I need to remember that direct objects are the things being acted on by the verb. I also need to remember that indirect objects are not the primary object of the sentence.

3. What strategies in the future might you use to increase your score? In the future I need to remember that the subject of a sentence is the person or thing being discussed. I need to remember that predicates contain a verb and states something about the subject. I need to remember that direct objects receive the action of the verb. I need to remember that predicate adjectives follow linking verbs and modifies the subject of a linking verb. I also need to remember that dependent clauses are groups of words with a subject and a verb.
4. Identify at least two areas where you have improved since first semester. 1. I have improved in identifying subordinating conjunctions. I now know that subordinating conjunctions link elements of a sentence together. 2. I have also improved in identifying indirect objects. I now know that indirect objects refer to someone or something that is affected by the action of a verb, but is not the primary object.
